Kate Gerike has served as the pastor of Salem Lutheran Church since January of 2022. She is also the pastor of Lysne Lutheran Church in rural Hawley, MN. Kate graduated from Luther College in Decorah, IA in 2016 with majors in religion, music, and psychology. After college, she earned her Master of Divinity from the University of Chicago and completed her ordination requirements at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. She currently lives in Detroit Lakes with her husband, Kevin, who is a pastor at the Detroit Lakes United Methodist Church. Kate has been shaped and molded by congregations throughout her life who have loved her into the person she is today. She hopes Salem can be that place for others.
